What is Neuro Feedback?

Your brain is an amazing adaptable organ that controls everything in your body. It learns from its experiences from the moment you are born and continual lays down neurological pathways based on these learnings. Eventually those skills become automatic to allow the brain to bypass the slower conscious thought and become faster and more efficient. Think about a baby learning to walk or learning a new language, initially is clumsy and mistakes are made but as the skill is

practiced it becomes easier and automatic. You don’t need to think about walking and talking right!!! The brain automatically uses the pathways without thinking about it. This also happens with thoughts and feelings or emotions too. If you’ve had emotional trauma or ongoing stress or have grown up with someone who also sees the worst, and teaches you negative thinking patterns, your brain then starts automatically using those negative pathways even if they are not beneficial to you.   If your brain isn’t looked after and is using automatic pathways based on your past it can become dysfunctional giving rise to mental and physical health problems.  The good news is that the the brain can be trained and changed in a process called neuroplasticity. The occurs by teaching the brain to question what it is doing in relation to its internal and external environment in the now. When given the correct information it no longer takes the automatic pathway but instead assesses to see if it is appropriate and if not it will build a new healthier pathway. Eventually these new pathways will become automatic.

NeurOptimal®  is an advanced neuro feedback rehabilitation technology that offers training to the brain, enabling it to function at its best. It does not require diagnosis, but rather it dances micro-second by micro-second with your brain offering it the information it needs to RE-ORGANIZE ITSELF, to ensure optimal function of electrical function to allow you to feel calmer, clearer, happier and able to function better in your life.
